Welcome to the SKBR College Alumni Association Home page. The Alumni association is registered as Old Students Association of S.K.B.R. College with Regd. No. of 142/2007.

The association is set up with the following objectives:

1.To strive for the development of alma mater by way of funding and developing the college infrastructure
2. To promote curricular and co – curricular activities of the institution
3. To promote healthy practices like honouring retired teaching and non – teaching staff on teacher’s day on every 5th September
4. To extend financial assistance to the economically poor and needy students

In the process, the association aims to

1. Ignite alumni movement to improving the standards of education in the college
2. Spread the concept of Philanthropy by liberally donating to college fund and by funding specific projects of the college
3. Sponsor the meritorious but poorer students
4. Network with the industry to support students with internships and job placements
5. Satisfy one’s self esteem and sense of belonging by giving it back to the Alma Mater

The association works closely with the College management in fulfilling its objectives.

NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) has mandated certain expectations from the college alumni that contribute significantly to the development of the college through financial and/or other support services. The college is mandated to provide the necessary information as part of its SSR (Self Study Report) to be submitted to NAAC on an on-going basis.

Alumni also play a key role in improving the college ranking in NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) approved by the MHRD and launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th September 2015.

The New Education Policy-2020 also highlights the role to be played by Alumni in supporting the college.

Enrolment and Life Membership

The enrolment of Alumni of SKBRC is being done by running periodic campaigns, through word of mouth and by enrolling the students at the time of their leaving the college. In order to improve the process of enrolment and build a comprehensive database, the college has taken up the initiative of launching the current alumni application. Till this application is launched, all past students may pay INR 1000 towards life membership.

By becoming a life time member, the member can enjoy the following benefits:

1. Using libraries and other facilities such as play grounds, Gymnasium
2. Attending the functions being organised in the college
3. Holding alumni meetings in the college premises
4. Receiving periodic communications from the college about the happenings in the college
