Anti Ragging:

As per the guidelines from the UGC to root out ragging in all the educational institutions, there is a central act under section 3 of the UGC act 1956 and there must be a strict observation to be implemented to prevent ragging in the college.

In this connection every year a committee is formed with teaching staff members both male and female and Principal as its director.

Main objectives of the committee:

• To prevent any physical or mental torture or any disorderly conduct towards any student causing apprehension, dread, humiliation or agitation on him/her.
• To create awareness about ragging and ensure a student friendly environment at all times.
• To maintain a ragging free campus.

Advertising boards are displayed in the entrance of the campus mentioning that “Ragging is prohibited in the campus”.
At the time of admissions, a brochure will be supplied to each and every student mentioning and warned about ragging.
Punishable ingredients of Ragging:-

Abetment to ragging
Criminal conspiracy to rag
Unlawful assembly and rioting while ragging
Public nuisance created during ragging
Violation of decency and morals through ragging
Injury to body, causing hurt or grievous hurt
Wrongful restraint
Wrongful confinement
Use of criminal force
Assault as well as sexual offences or unnatural offences
Extortion
Criminal trespass
Offences against property
Criminal intimidation
