Origin & History
Sree Konaseema Bhanoji Ramars College was established in 1951 by the philanthropic zeal of Sri J.V. Bhanoji Ramars, a visionary who understood that education was the surest path to uplift the rural communities of the Konaseema delta.
On 2nd July 1951, the College was formally inaugurated in an auspicious manner by Sri J.V. Bhanoji Ramars, Chief Donor, by performing a 'PUJA' at Board High School, Amalapuram. The college began with a handful of students and a few dedicated teachers, offering intermediate courses.
Over the decades, the institution grew steadily — adding undergraduate programs, then postgraduate courses, and later a College of Education (B.Ed). The campus expanded from a single rented room to its current 23-acre campus with dedicated buildings for each college, laboratories, a central library, a spacious playground, and residential facilities.
Today, SKBR College stands as the premier institution of higher learning in the Konaseema region, affiliated to Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram, re-accredited by NAAC with B++ Grade, and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
