Secretary and Correspondent Of S.K.B.R College

Having been associated with the College since the day of inception, I am extremely delighted that the website of Sree Konaseema Bhanoji Ramars College is being updated and launched. As a student and later after of my father’s death, as member of Governing Body and Secretary & Correspondent of the College, I am fully acquainted with the development and growth of our reputed Educational Institution in Konaseema. The College was originally inaugurated on a auspicious day i.e. 2nd July, 1951 by the Chief Donor Late Sri Jillella Venkata Bhanoji Ramars, who is my father, at the Z.P.High School, Amalapuram. Later, the College grew step by step by acquiring the present site in which the College is located from 1952 onwards under the leadership of Sri N.Ramabhadra Raju as its President. Late Sri G.V.S.Ramachandra Rao, the founder Secretary of the College Governing Body strived hard for the firm foundation in administration and establishment of the College. The Founder Principal Sri Peddada Ramchandra Rao laid firm foundation of discipline, quality education and good results. The College earned the reputation of being one of the best colleges in the State and in Andhra University, for good discipline and in imparting quality teaching. The imposing buildings, infrastructure and equipment in the College is unparalleled. With a meagre strength 71 students in Intermediate in 1951 the College grew to its present stature with thousands of students in many courses in Intermediate, Degree, Post-graduation and Professional courses like B.Ed; MCA; MBA and D.Ed. etc. The College celebrated the Golden Jubilee in 2002 in a glorious manner by honouring its eminent old students. By the year 2011, the College completed its 60 years of existence and development. The very name ‘SKBR’ is a source of education in Konaseema. Several of the Alumni occupied covered posts in various fields of life and bought name and fame to the institution. Political stalwarts like great Kala Venkatarao and late G.M.C.Balayogi contributed for the development of the College. So I am sure that the Website will be useful and give required information to all those who studied in College and those interested and connected with this great Institution.
